Business Authentication Framework (BAF) Common Use Signing Interface (CSI) Software Licence

PLEASE READ THIS SOFTWARE LICENCE AGREEMENT ('LICENCE') CAREFULLY. BY USING THE CSI YOU ARE AGREEING TO BE BOUND BY THE TERMS OF THIS LICENCE. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THE TERMS OF THIS LICENCE, YOU ARE AGREEING NOT TO USE THE CSI, AND TO REMOVE ALL CSI MATERIAL FROM YOUR COMPUTERS.

1. Licence.
The CSI Software and related information ('The CSI') which is the subject of this Licence may be provided in any media form. The CSI is licensed to you by the Commonwealth of Australia represented by the Australian Taxation Office ('ATO').

2. Permitted Uses and Restrictions.
You may use The CSI under the terms and conditions set out in this Licence Agreement. The CSI is protected by the Copyright Act of 1968 Australia and other intellectual property laws and by international treaties and may be protected by other copyright legislation in other jurisdictions. You may not take any action to jeopardise, limit or interfere in any manner with the intellectual property rights with respect to The CSI. You will take all reasonable measures to protect The CSI from unauthorised use, reproduction, distribution or publication.

You may make copies of the CSI Software in machine-readable form for back-up purposes only. The back-up copies must include all copyright information contained on the original. You may not decompile, reverse 
engineer, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code for The CSI, or sub-license, distribute or create derivative works based upon the CSI Software in whole or in part.

3. Limitation of Liability.
Except as set out in this License, the ATO gives no implied or express warranties in relation to The CSI or its use. All statutory warranties are to the fullest extent permitted by law expressly excluded.

4. Term and Termination.
Your rights to use the CSI will terminate automatically without notice from the ATO if you fail to comply with any term of this Licence.

5. Applicable Law.
This Licence is governed by, and is to be construed in accordance with, laws from time to time in force in the Australian Capital Territory.

6. Use outside Australia.
If you are located outside Australia, you are responsible for complying with any local laws relating to encryption. Those laws may impact upon your eligibility to obtain a copy of The CSI or use it.

7. Third Party Software License.
The CSI includes software sourced from the Cryptix Foundation.  The Cryptix Foundation requires that any redistribution of their software must carry the following license information:
